Poway has held onto its old nickname, 'The City in the Country,' even as it's filled in with newer subdivisions along Twin Peaks and Espola Road. Old Poway still has its horse properties and dirt trails, while the newer streets closer to I-15 look like most other North County suburbs.
We've worked Poway since 2019, sizing the crew and truck to whichever version of the city we're headed into that day, hillside horse property or a flat HOA street near the freeway.
Poway's terrain is hillier than it looks from the freeway, and a lot of homes, especially in the older sections near Lake Poway and Old Poway Park, sit on sloped lots with two-story layouts and stairs both outside and in. Newer subdivisions tend to have flatter streets but stricter HOA rules about moving truck hours and parking.
Old Poway's horse-property zoning means some homes still have a barn, corral, or riding arena on the lot, which is worth telling us about before move day so we bring enough crew for the extra ground to cover.
Most of our Poway work is residential and house moves, plus senior moves for longtime residents downsizing out of larger hillside homes. We also handle heavy item moves for equestrian equipment and the larger furniture that tends to fill Poway's bigger lots.
We move the household, furniture, tack, and equipment. Just let us know about any barns or outbuildings when you book so we plan enough crew time.
It adds some time, which is why we bring extra crew to hillside jobs rather than trying to rush a two-story staircase move.
It can. Tell us your community's rules on moving hours and truck parking when you book and we'll build the schedule around them.
Yes, senior moves and downsizing are a regular part of our Poway work, and we can help sort, pack, and move only what's coming with you to the new place.
A local move means everything stays inside San Diego County, from a studio in North Park to a house in Rancho Bernardo.
