Moving in La Jolla
La Jolla isn't one neighborhood, it's several, and each one moves differently. La Jolla Shores sits close to the beach with narrower residential streets and limited parking near the water. Bird Rock is a smaller, walkable stretch of homes and shops along La Jolla Boulevard. Torrey Pines brings hillside properties and longer driveways along the cliffs. La Jolla Village, near UC San Diego, has a heavier mix of apartments and condos serving students and staff. La Jolla Cove, the tourist center, means tighter streets and more competition for parking, especially in the middle of the day.
